Hudson needed a website to represent their corporate identity online while living up to their international brands.
NIU was tasked with bringing a strong creative element to the web design with an effective user experience.

A website to live up to its brand.

Walking inside a company’s offices says a lot about a company. Walking through Hudson’s offices says it all. The company is fresh, hip and has always been with the times - just like the brands the group represents. In our strategic meetings and further research, we came up with a website strategy to bring together professional photography, an interactive map, animation and showcasing the group’s brands with a strongly visual element.


After establishing the website strategy, we dove into the structure of the website. With brands and the group’s international presence being paramount to the strategy we highlighted 3 main aspects of the web design:
  1. Brands as a grid or masonry
  2. Brand bio
  3. Interactive map of global presence

Typography & Colours.

Strong typography was chosen to level up Hudson’s online presence.


Anton is a reworking of many traditional advertising sans serif typefaces. The letter forms have been digitised and then reshaped for use as a webfont, the counters have been opened up a little and the stems optimised for use as bold display font in modern web browsers.


Archivo was designed to be used simultaneously in print and digital platforms. The technical and aesthetic characteristics of the font are both crafted for high performance typography. It was designed to be used simultaneously in print and online platforms and supports over 200 world languages.
