DataByte is one of the leading software houses on the local market. A smaller company themselves, DataByte have always understood what small to medium businesses require in terms of software, and have been vastly successful within the industry for 25 years. The company has just moved to new offices to San Ġwann, and it was felt that in this transition period, they would do well to update their web presence.

The requirements the DataByte team had in mind for their new site consisted of a better CMS, a new design and an easier way to handle web updates. Also of importance were a clean design and a site with the ability to make online sales, be social and successfully reach out to DataByte clients. NIU was an obvious choice for DataByte, first and foremost due to NIU’s excellence in web design, but also as NIU have worked hand in hand with DataByte on a number of other projects.

The new website is clean and sparse, featuring a large central slider on the homepage in which the key business areas and competencies of DataByte are shown. The site includes a product catalogue and a downloads area in which DataByte offers users a number of free downloads. The new DataByte site also sports a remote support section, where users can ask for help quickly and be aided by means of remote desktop. NIUsletter, the bulk emailing system by NIU, allows DataByte to communicate with clients while the news section is easily updated through the CMS.

Dr. Kevin Camilleri, the Director of DataByte Ltd said that NIU was a great partner for the website owing to the fact that NIU clearly understood the needs and delivered exactly what was wanted in a timely and professional manner, without the fuss and ridiculous prices some of their competitors ask for. And of course, there is one more thing the DataByte team need not worry about, although we at NIU have nothing to do with it. Having just moved to San Ġwann from Balzan Valley, an area notorious for flooding, they now have no problems getting to work with their feet dry.
