The new Da Izzo website set the standard for the way all Da Izzo branded materials should be presented and what they should look like. Drawing inspiration both from the establishment’s interior and the website itself, the NIU team painstakingly designed all kinds of things for Da Izzo, some which were a new experience, and all of which were definitely great fun to design.
First of all, a new logo was required. The new logo is simple, clean and communicative. It uses two fonts and three colours, black and red as design elements, and white for the writing.
A menu was also designed, in which the NIU team again kept things simple and practical. A subtle colour scheme and a friendly to read font as well as ample spacing. There was also the need for signage, such as huge menu counter sign, and all the special offers, which you can see on here.
That wasn’t all. Take away bags needed to be designed and emblazoned with the Da Izzo logo, glass vinyls, as well as table offers. These were inspired by the mouthwatering arrays of food on display, and some macro photography coupled with good use of fonts and colours made the displays extremely communicative.
But that wasn’t the fun part. Have you ever dressed up a van? NIU has! The Da Izzo delivery van needed to be branded, because it is a walking and (almost) talking advert of the eatery. After that, the uniforms, which are simple and efficient, and use the same colours as the logo and website; red, black and white. For males, the uniform consists of a long sleeve t-shirt, white on the chest and and with red sleeves, with the Da Izzo logo as a crest. For the ladies, a white short sleeves t-shirt with red seams at the neck and arms and a delicate olive pattern on the back, and Da Izzo logos on the chest and centre back. The pants are black and have the Da Izzo logo embroidered into the side. Pizzaialo-style red caps were also made, as well as a simple and practical red apron with 3 front pockets.
